Peanut Brittle

white syrup

raw peanuts

In iron skillet, boil sugar, syrup & water until it spins a thread.

Add peanuts & cook over low flame until they begin to pop like cranberries or until peanuts are roasted.

Add soda & vanilla; stir until it until they begin to pop like cranberries or until peanuts are roasted.

Stir until it begins to foam then pour quickly into a well-greased cookie sheet.

Should be cooked in a heavy skillet.
